Lunch

Scandic Airport Hotel offer lunch buffet to those participants that wish to have their lunch at the hotel. This needs to be preordered and is paid through your registration. The fee is 430,- NOK for both days (215,- for each day). The hotel ensures that there will be a reasonable selection of vegetarian dishes.

You can of course bring your own lunch, but this can not be consumed in the hotel's restaurant. There are grocery stores only a few minutes walk from the hotel.

Time

The workshop starts at 10 am both Saturday and Sunday. Lunch is between 12.30 and 13.30. There will be two coffee breaks along the day. Coffee, tea, water and fresh fruit is included in the course fee.

Nice to know

You should not bring a live animal to the workshop, but a picture of an animal you know well. The animal does not need to be alive, but it has to be a pet you knew well when it was alive. It is very important that everyone remembers to bring a photo of a pet; these shall be used in practical assignments where we try to communicate with each others animals. Also, please remember to bring pen and paper.

How to get to Scandic Hotel

From Bergen, follow the signs to Stavanger E39. Follow sign to Flesland Airport roadnumber 580. When you arrive to a roundabout with sign to Kokstad, take the right to Kokstad. You are then in a new roundabout right away, take left, and there is the hotel on your left side.

If you want to see some of Bergen's many attractions and also want to take the bus from down-town Bergen to the location of the workshop, we recommend that you buy "Bergenskortet" (The Bergen-card). This card will give you free bus rides and free admittance or reduced price at many of Bergen's most well known attractions. You can read more about the Bergen card here. Accomodation

Accommodation in Bergen is found in all forms and prices. If you wish to stay at Scandic Airport Hotel, where the workshop is held, you will probably be pleased to know that the hotel has reserved a number of both single- and double bedded rooms just for the participants of Amelia KinkadeÇs workshop. The price is 810,- Norwegian kroner for a single bedded room (included breakfast) and 1010,- for a double bedded room (breakfast included). The price is for one night. If you wish to stay in the middle of Bergen, please check out the website www.hotels-in-norway.com. Here you can choose between hotels, apartments, dorms etc. It takes about 15 minutes to travel by car from the city of Bergen and out to where the workshop is being held. By bus it will take about 30 minutes. Call 177 (when in Bergen) to find out which bus you need to take and on what time.
